So many of us here on this board were in full blown ACC Network mode way back in 2009. The B1G was already making money and it was obvious that was the wave of the future. So why are we setting here waiting? It's been 6 or 7 years.

The Pac12 clearly had a network in mind when it signed its deal only months after the ACC's. The SEC was stuck in a long term deal, but they got on it when they could. The University of Texas, ALONG WITH ESPN, were thinking network not long after the ACC's deal. So what's been the problem?

That ACC strategy back in 2010 seems to have been to watch ESPN do other conference and university networks instead of their own. It's completely unjustifiable that this thing isn't up and running yet. And I'm still not convinced the ACC will ever get a true blue network of its own. The ship may have sailed.

And as you noted, the Big12 is getting within $1 million dollars per school of the ACC, and it's schools have had the option to go out and make bank off of the types of games were stuck watching on Raycom and ESPN 3.
